ALCO Blue is a rack mountable platform featuring an integrated hardware codec. This product is designed specifically to meet the demand of the broadcast industry. It offers a no-compromise, high quality, low-cost, Internet based On Air broadcasting solution, providing outstanding audio quality with low latency and high connectivity. This product is our hardware codec version of our popular ALCO Professional, as such it is completely compatible.

This is a reliable IP communicator based on proprietary ATC Labs audio & SIP technology. Main applications include studio-Transmitter link (STL) and field reporting anywhere in the world. It is designed to deliver high quality, crystal clear audio to the broadcasting station, in real time. This is due to the extremely low audio coding delay. ALCO Blue can use any available IP network, such as a 3G/4G, wireless, wired or hotspots. It supports audio input and output via XLR or USB devices.

On the broadcast studio side, the codec can be configured in a host mode. This allows multiple reporters or transmitters to be added to a single call. The host can individually configure the parameters for each reporter or transmitter, such as bit rates, audio level and buffering.

ALCO Blue supports advanced features such as text based messaging, call hold, offline reports & file transfer. The messaging functionality is quite useful for sending instructions to reporters in the middle of an active broadcast. Multiple bit rate options (32/64/128/192/256 kbps) are supported, using ATC Labs proprietary perceptual audio compression technology: Audio Communication Coder (ACC). Our ACC codec is what makes this product truly stand apart from the competition.

This product is designed to function in, as well as complement our existing ALCO Enterprise Network. It is designed to function with ALCO Professional and ALCO Manager, as well as other ALCO Blue units. This allows ALCO Blue to expand upon the ATC Labs products you already use.
